DEIA Statement
We are a group of diverse scientists and communicators across many career stages and levels of experience dedicated to understanding how global change impacts biodiversity, community dynamics, and ecosystem functions. We aim to use this information to benefit and promote ecosystem conservation in equitable and just ways for the benefit of people and nature. We strive to respect and support the well-being of every person. Our lab is dedicated to maintaining a safe, nondiscriminatory, and collaborative environment that welcomes and values unique perspectives, while challenging systemic barriers known to limit participation in science. We are actively leading, participating in, and seeking to identify new activities that promote an inclusive and unbiased environment in our lab and our communities. A specific list of these actionable items and our progress towards achieving them can be viewed in this living document.
